Harraby Community Campus
Havelock supplied fixed and loose classroom furniture, in the landmark project for the Cumbria County Council.
Harraby Community Campus incorporates a primary school, two early years’ nurseries, arts theatre, café, and children’s centre. The new-build school replaced the old Pennine Way School, increasing student capacity from 300 to 630 pupils.
Havelock designed, supplied and installed loose and fixed educational furniture including bespoke cloakrooms, breakout spaces and reception desks. FF&E was supplied in various dimensions for the different age groups. In total, 13 sets of proportions were used across the 18 classrooms.
Collaborating with Laing O’Rourke’s nominated architect, Atkins, Havelock value engineered all fixed and loose furniture to create visually impressive yet commercially focussed final designs. Close workshopping exercises were conducted to realise the architect’s vision, while making the interior commercially viable for main contractor.
