Please note: all work surface materials have performance limitations. We are happy to provide full technical specification for each material on request.
Plastic Laminate
Formica laminate bonded to a core of 650kgm-3 high density particleboard and reverse balanced. Laminate faced bench tops are suitable for use in IT rooms, general classrooms, or areas where limited amounts of water is used. Laminate tops are also available with postformed or 3mm PVC edges.
Trespa Athlon
Trespa Athlon is a self supporting flat panel based on thermosetting resins, homogenously reinforced with cellulose fibres, manufactured under high pressure with a decorative layer of melamine protected by additional clear layers. Tops are supplied 16mm or 20mm thick. Trespa provides excellent resistance to most laboratory reagents and is ideal for use in science laboratories and food rooms.
Trespa Toplab Plus
Trespa Toplab Plus is a self supporting flat panel based on thermosetting resins, homogenously reinforced with cellulose fibres, manufactured under high pressure with an integrated decorative surface based on pigmented electron beam cured resins with silica fillers. Tops are supplied 16mm or 20mm thick. Trespa Toplab plus provides excellent resistance to the most aggressive laboratory reagents and is ideal for use in chemistry laboratories, preparation rooms and dark rooms.
Durcon
Cast epoxy resin work top which exhibits very good resistance to most commonly used reagents. Durcon is especially useful in areas likely to be subjected to attack by aggressive reagents e.g., sink areas. Durcon is available in 15mm or 19mm black, white or grey and is manufactured to customer order.
Formica Solid Surfacing
Particularly useful in areas where hygiene and cleanliness are required. Formica Solid Surfacing provides a virtually seamless, continuous work surface. Manufactured from 85% polyester and 15% acrylic resins with aluminium hydroxide fillers. The 13mm panels are bonded to an 18mm MDF core. Work tops are manufactured to customer order and carry a 10 year warranty. Colour charts are available on request.
Solid Iroko
Manufactured ex 32mm solid Iroko*. Tops are supplied 27mm thick and, as standard, finished with two coats of acid catalysed lacquer. Iroko tops give a warm and traditional feel to any room. Iroko benching is suitable for science and craft areas.
*Iroko, originating in countries which have had for many years approved re-afforestation policies, is a sustainable hardwood and its use therefore does NOT conflict with environmental policies. Iroko supplied has FSC approvals.
