ESA Embraces the Inclusion of Teachers in the Design Process

There is a growing view that involving classroom users in the classroom design process produces better outcomes resulting in greater end user satisfaction. It is not always possible to fully communicate the requirements for a classroom in written form using a room data sheet.

We worked closely with teachers from Earlston High School to make sure that their new classroom met their exact requirements. This process included a series of design workshop meetings with teachers backed-up with a visit to our factory by both teachers and pupils to allow everyone to see exactly how their furniture would be produced. It was fantastic to see how much this involvement engaged the entire school community in the designs for their new building.
