Site Safety - A High Priority for ESA McIntosh
By 2010 it will be essential for construction workers and those associated with the construction industry to prove their skills before being allowed on a construction site. A card known as C.S.C.S. (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) carries the accredited persons name, photograph and level of qualification, providing evidence that operations will be carried out in a professional and safe manner.
Safety has always been a priority at ESA McIntosh but we recognise that we must constantly improve our standards and training in order to keep up with best practice. Our priority is to provide top rate professional project management and installation services and, to this end, all our site-related employees are C.S.C.S. accredited. It is also our policy to only use sub-contractors who are C.S.C.S. accredited or working towards accreditation. Additionally we have introduced S.M.S.T.S. (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) training, aimed at management and site supervisors and already many employees have successfully completed this course.
As the safety standards affecting the construction industry are improved, all candidates have to be re-tested every 5 years to maintain their accreditation. Having qualified staff on your site reduces the possibility of downtime, increases to insurance premiums and loss of reputation associated with Health and Safety incidents. All of this comes with the Project Management Team of ESA McIntosh, along with our reputation of excellence in supplying you with complete educational solutions
